The Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR) has launched a new interactive web application to facilitate access to hydrologic and wells information in the Groundwater Site Inventory (GWSI) database. The GWSI database consists of over 42,000 records of wells and over 210,000 ground-water level records statewide.
GWSI is the main repository for Arizona's statewide groundwater data regarding wells and springs. The database consists of field verified data collected by personnel from the ADWR Hydrology Division and/or the U.S. Geological Survey. This information is continually being updated by ongoing field investigations and through a statewide network of water level and water quality monitoring sites. GWSI contains spatial and geographical data, owner information, well construction and well log data, and historic groundwater data including water level, water quality, well lift and pumpage records. Well hydrographs are now readily accessible through this new web-based service.
